Back Home in Grenada

Turkey was a wonderful, truly enlightening experience.  I would go again tomorrow if I could.  The flying carpet was imagined as we floated over the landscape in a hot air balloon.  Quiet and eery and meditative, the landscape ever changing below us.   So a couple days after I came home to Grenada, I had a friend visiting from North America, so we went snorkeling--such a similar experience to the hot air balloon ride.  Quiet and eery and meditative, the seascape every changing below us.  Even the woosh of air as I blew it up out of the snorkel sounded like the woosh of hot air that filled the balloon and made it rise.

There are paintings that came from the Turkey experience, but they are still in the inclubator...working on them to bring out in an exhibit when the time is ripe.  One painting came from the snorkel trip as a result of viewing  Jason Taylor's under water sculpture park.  You can visit the park without getting wet--  click on www.underwatersculpture.com
